Oh, and every seed I sow
Will grow into a tree.
And someday there’ll
be apples there
For everyone in the
world to share.
Oh, the Lord is good to me.

Located in Canton, Mississippi, the 750-acre Duncan M. Gray Episcopal Camp and Conference Center is a place of ministry operated by the Episcopal Diocese of Mississippi.

The Gray Center provides a tranquil space and inspirational programs that help individuals of all ages and backgrounds renew their faith, deepen their relationships with Christ, and develop a heart for service to the world.

The Gray Center is best known as the permanent home of Camp Bratton-Green, a summer camp operated by the Episcopal Diocese of Mississippi. The property is also home to a conference center that welcomes groups from the church and the greater community.

The diocese has developed a long-range master plan for improvements that will enhance hospitality, safety, and accessibility, and position Camp Bratton-Green and the conference center as places of welcome and spiritual growth for many years and many generations to come.

The Seeds You Sow campaign will raise funds to complete Phase 1 of this ambitious master plan. In addition to raising money for physical improvements, the campaign also welcomes gifts that will help build an endowment to support building maintenance and fund programs in the years to come.

The Seeds You Sow campaign will give the diocese an even greater capacity to minister and to move into the future with creativity, unlimited by the physical constraints of an aging property. The campaign will enable the church to cast a wider net and to serve not only the Episcopal community, but also the community at large.

Measured in dollars, The Seeds You Sow campaign goal is $5 million.

Measured in spiritual currency, the goal is to build a facility that will allow more people to build a personal relationship with Christ and grow in service to the world.

Answering “Yes”

A catechism integral to our common life and discipleship, the Baptismal Covenant asks questions of Christians as they live out their faith. The final three questions are:

Will you proclaim by word and example the
Good News of God in Christ?

Will you seek and serve Christ in all persons,
loving your neighbor as yourself?

Will you strive for justice and peace among all
people, and respect the dignity of every human being?

Through this campaign to expand the work of Camp Bratton-Green and the Gray Center, our diocese is answering, “Yes. We will, with God’s help.”
